Direct mail marketing can be a really effective way of reaching out to your various demographics and, in fact, many of your customers may well prefer this as a way for you to get in touch rather than digital methods like email, text and social media.

But it’s becoming increasingly important to think about the impact your business has on the environment and if you’re considering going green with your leaflet printing in the future, here are some top tips to help point you in the right direction.

Proofread the copy

Mistakes happen, of course, but if you want to avoid having to reprint lots of promotional material because of significant errors, make sure that you go over the copy with a fine tooth comb to make sure it’s exactly how you want it before sending it off to the printer’s.

Use recycled paper

One easy green switch that requires no effort on your part is using recycled paper. Simply talk to your printing company to see if this can be accommodated and away you go.

Keep the pictures to a minimum

If you don’t want to use much ink in the creation of your flyers and so on, perhaps consider this at the design stage and limit your use of photos, images, illustrations and so on. You could also think about using thinner fonts.
